Arkansas football DE Landon Jackson ranked among best players in EA Sports College Football 25 | Whole Hog Sports

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas defensive end Landon Jackson earned high ratings in the EA Sports College Football 25 video game. 

Jackson is ranked the 58th-best player and sixth-best defensive end nationally. On a 100 scale, Jackson earned an overall player rating of 91. 

The overall rating is based on grades for five characteristics. Jackson received a 95 for awareness, 88 for jumping and strength, 87 for acceleration and 76 for speed. 

Jackson’s awareness score was tied for 20th nationally and ranked second at his position behind Kentucky’s Deone Walker. Jackson recorded 44 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks last season. 

EA Sports released its list of the 100 best players Wednesday. Jackson was the only Arkansas player who made the list. 

Michigan cornerback Will Johnson, LSU left tackle Will Campbell and Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon received the game’s highest overall grades of 96 apiece. 

Forty-four teams are represented on the list of top 100 players. Ohio State leads all teams with 8 players on the list, followed by Georgia and Alabama with 6 apiece, and Michigan and Oregon with 5. 

EA Sports will premiere the video game next week. It is the first new college football game in more than a decade.
