Halesowen Greggs gets new hygiene rating

Must read

The food outlet at Unit 31, Cornbow Centre, Hagley Street, was given a score of five-out-of-five on December 15, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

It opened last June, after Greggs closed its smaller outlet in the shopping centre and moved to the former Select store opposite Costa Coffee on the lower mall, where it has a cafe.

Spills Meadow, a pub, bar or nightclub at April House Kent Street, Upper Gornal, Dudley was also given a new rating and was handed a three-out-of-five score after an assessment on February 12.

The ratings have been published on the Food Standards Agency’s website which rates businesses from zero to five so customers can make more informed choices about where to buy and eat food.

A rating of five means hygiene standards are very good, four means hygiene standards are good, three means hygiene standards are generally satisfactory, two means some improvement is necessary, a rating of one means major improvement is necessary and a rating of zero means urgent improvement is required.

People can see the results of all food hygiene inspections via Dudley Council’s website or on the national website.
