Heron officially opens in Church Square Shopping Centre

Must read

Heron was one of the last remaining stores remaining in the Hardshaw Centre – which is set to close this year to make way for the town centre regeneration, with many other stores from the centre already moving elsewhere in the town.

However today, July 11, Heron officially opened in the former Topshop site.

At 11am – despite an earlier 9am soft launch for customers – Mayor of St Helens Jeanette Banks came to take pictures outside the new shop and have a tour of the site.

She commented: “I think it’s in a prime position and it’s a lovely size shop and its fabulous that it’s come here.

“It’s easier to find than the original store and it’s a very welcome and prominent shop in a great location in the town centre.”

Steve Brogan, Centre Manager of Church Square Shopping Centre, said: “Having Heron Foods join us here at Church Square marks an exciting chapter for our shopping centre. Their relocation not only enhances our diverse retail offerings but also reinforces our commitment to providing an exceptional shopping experience for our visitors.”

“We look forward to the positive impact Heron Foods will bring to Church Square and are eager to see the continued growth and success of both our centre and their store.”
