Purdue football’s Dillon Thieneman rated top 100 player in EA Sports College Football 25

WEST LAFAYETTE — Dillon Thieneman turned heads as one of the best freshman football players last season.

Now the Purdue football star is considered one of the top players in the nation.

At least according to EA Sports.

On Wednesday, EA Sports released its top 100 individual player rankings ahead of its much-anticipated release of the College Football 25 video game.

Thieneman found himself on the list, along with former Purdue teammate Nic Scourton, who transferred to Texas A&M after last season.

A sophomore safety, Thieneman is coming off a season where he ranked third in NCAA Division I with six interceptions. Purdue’s safety also had 106 tackles, two pass breakups and two forced fumbles and was the Big Ten Freshman of the Year.

Based on that, Thieneman earned an overall rating of 90 (out of 100). Michigan cornerback Will Johnson is rated first overall with a 96.

EA Sports rated Thieneman with the following attributes: Speed, 90; Acceleration, 92; Strength, 72; Awareness, 85; Jumping, 87.

EA Sports College Football 25 is set for a launch date of July 19.
