ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) – On July 9, Trinity Health PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) in Alexandria had its grand opening, which included a blessing ceremony for the new space.

Trinity Health PACE focuses on helping seniors face the challenges of aging while staying independent.

Various ministers from the community joined to bless the facility, including the rooms, staff, attendees and the building itself.

Executive Director Wyne Plaisance said, “The blessing reminds us this isn’t just a job, it’s a ministry. I believe in servant leadership, like Jesus with his disciples. We see ourselves as Christ’s hands now, called to serve those in need. It’s a blessing because caring for others brings personal fulfillment. Most of us are here not just for a paycheck, but to serve and help people stay healthy. That’s what it’s all about.”

The facility will officially open in September. Right now, they are accepting 10 patients each month.
