The pre-game media session might reveal some details about the performance, but headliners often keep a few secrets.

After having recently closed out his Las Vegas Residency, and with a new studio album on the way, it seems fitting that the Can U Get Wit It star be the headliner of the first-ever Super Bowl be held in Sin City.
In the wake of the news of him landing the headlining spot, Usher let it be known that he has dreamt of playing the Super Bowl most of his life.
‘I’ve been doing this for 30 years,’ Usher reflected, while teasing the show. ‘I want people who have been a part of that journey to feel like it’s a celebration for everybody, for all of us, from the beginning up until this point.’
He added, ‘I’m literally speaking to every woman. I want to make it feel like that.’
Along with performing parts of his hits, Usher is expected to also show off his acclaimed dancing skills.
Fans should also be prepared for at least two costumes and some roller-skating, which also played a role in his recent Las Vegas residency.
Now at 45 and with 30 years in the business, the hitmaker has even alluded to his eventual retirement from performing.

‘I love it, don’t get me wrong,’ Usher said of his time on stage and touring, ‘But man. S**t. I’m not looking to be 60 years old up there.’
Being that he’s 45, that statement translates to less than 15 years of stage performing for the Dallas, Texas native, if he does in fact live up to his statement.
When asked about his mentality about performing following what some believe was a brief slump in his career, Usher seemed to reflect with a sense humility and gratitude.
‘Every night I walk out and I’m present before I walk on the stage. Maybe no one else knows that I’m doing this, but I’ll walk over to the edge of the stage and I look up there,’ he said if his recent performances. ‘And I can remember when nobody was in here, and it was hard, and it felt like nobody was going to come. But I see them having a great time and I’m like, :Here it is… Honor that moment. Now go have a good time.”‘
Once the playoff teams finish banging it out on the gridiron to determine who will represent the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC) teams, Super Bowl LVIII will be held on February 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The big game will be televised nationally by CBS, streamed on Paramount+, alternatively broadcast on youth-oriented sister network Nickelodeon, and, for the first time, televised on the Spanish-language network Univision.
Usher can expect to reach the biggest audience of his career when he takes the stage for the NFL Halftime Show.
Last year’s Super Bowl LVII, in which the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, now has the distinction of being most-watched telecast in history.
