The key to replicating the ‘quiet luxury’ style of the Roys is to invest in classic, tailored pieces and avoid flaunting designer logos, according to a New York stylist.
The payoff is a chic and elevated look à la Shiv, the daughter of ruthless Waystar Royco founder Logan, in seasons two and three.
Like a lot of the characters in the show, the former political consultant, who is portrayed by Sarah Snook, is often dressed in a pant or skirt suit as she plays the game to grab the top job and win her father’s approval.

Liz Teich, who runs The New York Stylist, has shared her tips on how to dress like the uber-rich
Occasionally she is seen in a dress – like the blazer variation she wore in Washington D.C. and the high-neck gown with a leg slit for her father’s party, both appearing in season two.
Despite undergoing not only just a personal transformation, but a style one as well, Shiv continues to be the epitome of ‘quiet luxury.’
To help you on your journey to emulate the Roys’ sartorial looks as the show returns for its fourth season this weekend, FEMAIL has spoken to Liz Teich, who runs The New York Stylist, and she’s shared her tips on how to dress like the uber-rich.
Where to begin when it comes to ‘quiet luxury’ style
The best way to start your ‘quiet luxury’ wardrobe is with ‘tailored, understated pieces’ mixed with ‘staples like button downs and turtlenecks, often in monochromatic tones,’ Liz told DailyMail.com.
‘My clients and Instagram followers always say that basics are so “boring” but when done well, they can look so elevated.’
She added: ‘I always say invest in a great suit – it doesn’t have to be super pricey -because you always look polished, even when paired with a tee and sneakers, and it’s so versatile to mix and match with.
‘Everyone needs at least one quality blazer, as this is something you can pair with everything, especially throwing it over any top for a Zoom call.’

She also recommends these items be in monochromatic tones like those seen on Jeremy Strong’s Kendall and Sarah Snook’s Shiv
Mistakes to avoid when it comes to your Succession-inspired wardrobe
One of the main mistakes people are making when they want to dress in the ‘quiet luxury’ style is wearing clothing or accessories with large logos plastered on them.
But Liz says people should be taking a more toned-down approach.
‘I see it often that people wear logos because they think it looks more elevated, but it actually can look tacky,’ she said.
‘Subtle logos are okay (think a small Loewe logo on a belt vs the big GG Gucci belt), but for the most part, I steer clients away from logos as “quiet luxury” always looks effortlessly polished.’
Liz recalls one of her ‘wealthiest clients’ making this fashion faux pas, ‘think Celine across the chest of a shirt and on belts, hats, bags, etc.’
‘I told her that the brand should really be paying her for all this advertising and while she could afford the real thing, flaunting it like that doesn’t look elegant,’ she added.
‘It opened her eyes to a more subdued way of dressing with luxury and she’s been so much happier with her wardrobe since.’

Shop the Roy look by heading to brands such as Max Mara, The Row and M.M.LaFleur
Liz says she has clients who come to her and want to replicate Shiv Roy’s style from seasons two and three.
She advises them to invest in a few quality tailored and tonal separates.
‘Shiv’s iconic monochromatic grey suit with silky grey blouse is so understated, yet so upscale. Even for casual looks, like Shiv on the family’s yacht, her tonal white look is easy to recreate and always looks high end,’ Liz told DailyMail.com.
‘The Max Mara belted blazer dress from when the Roys went to Washington was one of my favorite looks and can easily be recreated (M.M.LaFleur has a great belted blazer dress at the moment).
‘The black dress that Shiv wore for Logan’s birthday in season two is so simple, but the cut is so striking and accentuated her figure without being overly sexy or over the top. This is the perfect example of quiet luxury.’

As for the best brands, Liz recommends shopping at Theory, with its tailored separates and relaxed blouses, to replicate Shiv’s classic style.
She also names Vince, Joseph, The Row, Max Mara, A.L.C., Gabriela Hearst, Jil Sander, and ME+EM for ‘great investment tailored pieces that you’ll have in your closet for years to come.’
‘I often direct my clients to M.M.LaFleur for recreating this quiet luxury style with easy to wear tailored separates (often in eco and machine washable fabrics),’ Liz said.
But for those on a budget, the stylist recommends Mango for blazers and suiting, ‘which look surprisingly quality.’ And for trousers she points people to Reformation.
Liz predicts Shiv’s style in season four will reflect her character’s development.
‘I’m predicting that Shiv wears even darker tones as she becomes more ruthless, not to mention it will be a major trend for this fall,’ she said.
