5K raises money for children’s mental health

Must read

The weather outside on Saturday was perfect for a run, and nearly 2,000 participants took advantage of the outdoors for a good cause.

The On Our Sleeves 5K took off at the Columbus Crew‘s Lower.com Field.

The 5K is a community run and walk to grow awareness, break stigmas and raise funds for On Our Sleeves to address children’s mental health.

Proceeds from the event will help the foundation continue to provide free mental health resources.

We need to make sure that mental health is something we should all be talking about we continue to want to break stigmas so not only do we bring awareness,” shared Whitney Raglin Bignall, associate clinical director for Nationwide Children’s Hospital. “It helps us to continue to bring people along as we continue to fundraise.”

Since 2018, more than 6 million people across the United States has interacted with the movement’s free pediatric mental health education resources.
