EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – An exciting day for the Boys and Girls Club as they honor Mental Health Awareness Month.
Kids and volunteers alike planted a tree dedicated to the Lilly Foundation’s support for the Boys and Girls Club mental health programs.
Andrew Backes with the Boys and Girls Club of Evansville says resources like this are important.
“So, by providing that resource to our kids, it just means that they have that extra help whenever they are going through something, or having a bad day there’s someone here that can talk to them.”
Along with planting a tree, they painted leaves and even made their own trail mix.
