The Role

The Label Management team are on the lookout for a Label Coordinator to support the Cargo UK Label Management team. The role is varied where you will be in regular communications with label clients as well as managing label and release data for easy access across all internal teams. Strong time management and organization skills are key here to manage the varied regular tasks, as well as organisational ability to keep incoming information usable and findable. This full-time position reports to Head of Label Management and is based in the Cargo UK office in West London SW6.


Responsibilities

Release Setup & Metadata:

  • Solicit, collect, & manage new & catalogue release information & metadata from labels.
  • Perform release project set-up and maintenance across platforms.
  • Communicate with label clients about any issues or missing information.
  • Coordinate stock levels and logistics as needed.

Label & Internal Comms:

  • Manage release updates, reports, & other regular comms sent to labels.
  • Create new label info docs for internal and external use.
  • Track & report partner marketing expenses.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Improve and update internal organisational structures for label info, comms, notes, reports, as directed.
  • Support cross-departmental projects as needed.
  • Work with label management team on label events/meetings (virtual or IRL).

The Ideal Candidate Has:
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work & communicate well in a large team and with external partners.
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work across multiple concurrent deadlines and projects.
  • A passion for independent music.
  • Working knowledge of: Google Docs and/or MS Office suite, Database software Asset/inventory management tools, email marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp)
  • Previous record label/music distribution experience would be advantageous.
