EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – Eau Claire city and business leaders are gathering together to plan shared goals for the community.

The Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a reception Wednesday evening, as a way for new members of the Eau Claire City Council and Eau Claire County Board of Supervisors to meet face to face with community stakeholders.

Chamber President, David Minor, shared why it’s important to get together as city leaders,

“We represent over 50,000 workers in the Chippewa Valley, so regardless of whatever they do, what is that impact going to be? The earlier we start that discussion, the sooner we start talking about shared vision, the better off we all are,” Minor said.

After April’s spring primary, there was a number of newly-elected candidates to the Eau Claire City Council and Eau Claire County Board of Supervisors.
