And now the cricket starlet is part of a 16-man squad for three one-day internationals against Sri Lanka.

Manager Michael Yardy has yet to announce a squad for the two Test matches in July.

Roy will be joining Luc Benkenstein, who is the son of Lancashire head coach Dale Benkenstein.

The same goes for Haydon Mustard, who is the son of ex-England wicketkeeper Phil Mustard,

Farhan Ahmed – the brother of Rehan Ahmed, will also be included in the team.

Rocky made his Lancashire 2nd XI debut against Yorkshire at the beginning of the season along with his older brother Corey.

The teenager made a half-century at Old Trafford in his second game against Durham before a 116 against Warwickshire at Edgbaston.

He’s following the footsteps of his father Andrew who played 79 Tests, 141 one-day internationals and seven T20s for England between 1999 and 2009.

The 46-year-old also played a key role in England’s historic Ashes victory in 2005.

Andrew is now part of England’s cricket coaching staff at the T20 World Cup.
