Europe’s cheapest destination to fly to in June is an uncrowded gem

Must read

June holidays are the perfect way to escape the heavy crowds of July and August while still enjoying a spot of sunshine.

But where are the cheapest destinations to fly to from the UK in June? searched Skyscanner for the best bargain flights from the UK and found that several fantastic destinations can be reached for less than £50 return.

Bear in mind that these prices are just for the flight and passengers may need to pay more for seat selection or extra baggage.

Whether it’s Europe’s gorgeous Pink City, an underrated capital or Italy’s foodie hotspot – Britons are spoilt for choice this June.

Oslo, Norway

I found flights to Oslo for under £30 return from London and Manchester. The Norwegian capital is somewhat overlooked as a city break, but it’s particularly beautiful in early summer.

While Oslo can be an expensive break, the city has plenty of free attractions to fill your itinerary. Check out the free sculptures at Vigeland Sculpture Park or go for a walk along the Harbour Promenade.

If the weather plays ball, Oslo has plenty of swimming options. If not, check out the Munch Museum for free on Wednesday evening or visit the Museum of Oslo for free on a Thursday.

Toulouse, France

I found flights to Toulouse for just £22 from London, £24 from Birmingham, £33 from Edinburgh and £62 from Bristol.

Known as the ‘Pink City’, Toulouse’s gorgeous Canal du Midi is the perfect spot to while away a sunny afternoon.

Visit the Jacobins Convent with its palm tree vault or stock up on wine and cheese at Marche Victor Hugo.

Bologna, Italy

I found flights to Bologna for just £22 from London, £45 from Manchester and £59 from Edinburgh.

The Italian city is often skipped in favour of Florence and Rome but it’s much less crowded and it’s the country’s foodie capital.

Don’t ask for spaghetti bolognese though. The proper way to eat the famous dish is with tagliatelle so you can soak up all the sauce.
