ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Aetna Better Health of Illinois hosted its summer bash & resource fair at the Booker Washington Center on Tuesday.
Fifteen organizations were on hand including Lifescape, University of Illinois Chicago and the Rockford Mass Transit District.
Each organization provided information to residents. Event officials say the goal is to make the community aware of resources available to everyone.
“It’s important that they’re here and able to see that we offer–that they may be aware of–and also it kicked off summer here in Rockford. It’s a way, you know, families coming to provide resources for their children and, you know, they might find something that’s going on they need to bring their children to,” Aetna Better Health Illinois outreach coordinator Toni Thomas says.
