TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — A man was arrested on Saturday after police said he secretly recorded women going to the bathroom at a Tempe business.
Court documents say 22-year-old Jason Romo hid his phone in a box in the bathroom that had a hole cut in it so his phone’s camera could see the toilet in the area of Kyrene and Guadalupe roads.
A witness found the phone and called the police.
Police said they searched his phone and found videos of two women. The recordings started in March 2023 and ended last weekend.
Romo was booked into jail on charges of surreptitious videotaping.
He was released on his own recognizance.
