HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) – A local health clinic coming later this month is offering medical, dental, optical and veterinary care at no cost to residents.

This year’s IRT Green River Wellness Mission will take place June 15 to 25 at South Middle School in Henderson.

Officials tell us the program is a military training opportunity that increases deployment readiness while also providing health care services for underserved communities.

“There are so many things to love about this exercise,” said Mayor Brad Staton. “The IRT folks will receive some invaluable training, our community will receive access to no-cost dental, vision, health and animal care. What a great opportunity for our city.”

There are no income or residency requirements to receive treatment. Providers will treat patients ages three and older on a first-come, first-serve basis.
