Must read

HAYWARD, Wis. (WEAU) – Tamarack Health Hayward Medical Center sent out an official statement today following the news of Marshfield Medical Center-Rice Lake temporarily diverting labor and delivery patients.

Information sent along with the official statement emphasized that the Tamarack Health Hayward Medical Center “is equipped to fill the need for expecting mothers where Hayward is now their closest option.”

According to the statement, the facility offers comprehensive pregnancy and birth care services at its Family Birthplace. Tamarack Health emphasizes a continuity of care model, offering personalized and consistent care from the same doctor from the prenatal period through delivery. The primary care doctor then transitions to being the newborn’s primary doctor.

The statement mentions large private birthing suites and details some of the options available for expecting families and their birth plans, including skin-to-skin contact, delayed cord-clamping and involvement of the birth partner.

Tamarack Health offers the “Journey Through Parenthood” program, which includes tours, prenatal classes and breastfeeding support to educate families with the childbirth process.

Additional services include prenatal yoga and a comprehensive support system to help parents be well-prepared.

Expecting parents and the community are invited to reach out to Tamarack Health for more information and to schedule a visit. That phone number is 715-934-4211 or visit tamarackhealth.org.
