MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) – The Greater Mankato Area United Way held a luncheon to celebrate its donors and sponsors that help make the nonprofit’s work possible.

Local businesses such as Scheels, CliftonLarsonAllen and Pioneer Bank were honored along with many individuals.

The event is held not only to honor those who donate to and assist United Way, but to showcase how their more than $2.2 million donations impacted the community.

“Some of our recent initiatives revolve around youth mental health. We have navigators in the school systems that have made an incredible impact for Youth Mental Health,” 2025 Campaign Chair Maria Brown said.

The money also goes to providing books for students and providing fun events for the local community.

But the United Way isn’t stopping there. It plans to raise $2.3 million for its 2025 campaign to continue to help the community.

Kick-off for the campaign starts July 30 at the Civic Center from 12 to 1 p.m.
